ASRock Z170 Pro4 MB - Missing one pin and bent pins on the LGA 1151 socket upon reciept. Bent pins back as good as I could...

Solution
I would *never* put new, damaged motherboard into a build. That's what the RMA process is for. Inspect the motherboard, take photos showing the unopened, sealed processor in the box so there isn't an accusation of you having damaged the board yourself, and RMA it.

*aside. Why do motherboards ship in unsealed boxes and with unsealed anti-static wrap? It really removes the 1st line of defense a consumer has in proving pre-existing damage.

I bent pins back as good as I could. Installed Skylake 6700K and it works! Missing pin and all. Did the Intel Burn Test and it passed. Can't believe it. The missing pin must not be needed. I am afraid to take it apart to figure out which pin is missing.
