Monitors randomly losing signal.

Hi, so basically I turned on my co.outer today and started to ay some CS GO. It all went fine but when I started playing my second death match game my monitors randomly went black and.I got messages popping up saying DVI no signal. My computer was still running totally fine, wasn't overheating and was running verry cool actually. I had a YouTube video in the background and I could still hear it through my headset. I then restarted my computer with the power button and when it started up I saw on my primary monitor the usual Gigabyte Ultra Durable logo (running a gigabyte motherboardand video card). It boots up like this for a while, but instead of getting to the login screen it simply cuts out again with the DVI no signal on both monitors. I then tried everything, taking everything out of the computer and putting it back in, taking out the power cords for both monitors and replugging them, checking DVI cables etc. Nothing worked. I decided to let my monitors cool off so I de dusted my computer and lo and behold when I plug it back in again it starts to work, I get into my login screen and log in.. everything's fine, I open up chrome and steam everything's still fine, I then start CS again and after about 10 mins of playing I get the same problem I had with the DVI no signal, and I can't get it to work again. There's nothing wrong with the computer from what I've seen and there's nothing wrong with the monitors, they are both recovering power well and the fact that whenever I restart my computer the Gigabyte logo shows up indicates to me that there's nothing wrong with the connection. I'm no expert in this, but I'm hoping you guys are, my computer specs are below, thanks in advance :).

SPECS:
Gigabyte windforce GTX 980 graphics card, not OC'D.
Gigabyte motherboard, I can't remember off the top of my head which one but it's an SLI board. If needed I can find out.
Phanteks enthoo pro case (full tower).
Corsair HyperX RAM 32GB's (I can find MHz if need be)
Intel core i7 4790k
750 Watt corsair power supply
Western digital 1TB hard drive
Crucial MX100 256gb SSD.
Monitor is an ASUS VG something or other, its a 1080p 244hz 24 inch monitor, can't remember the full name.
OS: Windows 10 Home.

Please help me out with this, thanks so much and sorry if the info is a bit vague. And yes, you guessed it, its a home build about a year old next month.

So I am assuming you can't get to your OS normally. In this case what windows is saying is that it can't boot normally due to "issue" (not sure what). But it still gives an option to troubleshoot.. So you can...

It seems to be a resolution issue the way you described it. A very obvious question .... Did you update your GPU drivers ? Is yes then uninstall completely and reinstall. Before that reset setting in NVIDIA. Change to a lower resolution. If it happens only during gameplay then reduce the resolution in-game.
Check event viewer for any error related to display or drivers.

Hi, I updated my GPU drivers last month, but my problem is that I literally can't access anything in my computer. However there has been progress (kind of) I basicay spam restarted it and now a new meny comes up. The menu is on a big blue background and gives me the option to either reset my computer or advanced options where I can do a whole load of troubleshooting things (which I've done but to no avail). Other than that though I can't get into my computer to change any settings or anything. Please advise. Thanks so

So I am assuming you can't get to your OS normally. In this case what windows is saying is that it can't boot normally due to "issue" (not sure what). But it still gives an option to troubleshoot.. So you can either Refresh (for not loosing data) OR Reset (where you'll loose your data).
You can also try a system restore to a time where it was working.

Of course for the Refresh and Reset to work you'll need Windows setup on a USB.
Before all that, While shutting down the PC keep Shift pressed and Click Restart. It should show you a similar but different menu to boot into Safe mode. If Safe mode is working then it means a driver or a Third Party (Non-MS) software is causing trouble. So you 'll have to disable all start up programs and reboot.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm trying the system restore from the 20th Feb, hopefully things turn out OK.
