My system configuration is
Intel DH61WW
Hi I've joined your forum needing help from you guys. Please provide me solution to my problem. This is my first post.
CPU Intel 2nd generation i3 processor
RAM is 4GB of model Kingston kvr1333D3n9/4g.
Currently using Windows 10 32-bit, which I want to upgrade to 64-bit, to take advantage 64-bit Windows, I want to add 8GB RAM.
The question bugging me is should I add the new one to present one, which makes 12GB, but I need RAM of same frequency i.e 1333MHZ right?
How should I go now, suggest me all 8GB rams that work with my mother board DH61WW along with 4GB RAM.

Update: added board specs link http://ark.intel.com/products/54876/Intel-Desktop-Board-DH61WW

No where on the intel product page it has mentioned that supports XMP with 1600MHZ, do you mean board supports memory speed up to 1600 Overclocked means exactly that?

What else would that mean? If you're confused, check the Intel white paper on XMP. The link I gave you has compatible memory, any of those will work.

Sorry I am new to these, my work is different. At the moment I am going to purchase one 8GB RAM and keep current one away, should I add another 8GB ram of same speed 1600MHZ in future, I can't buy 2*8GBs at the same time. If I don't overclock, which is beyond my skill level, it will be fine, right? And it works at default 1333MHZ speed unless I overclock it by going to BIOS settings.
So guys i am very much tempted to order this one, should I go ahead?

This one is also in the list and in the 7th place when 1*8GB is selected http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/memory/#s=301333,301600&V=1500&m=1,11,12,17,68,23,26,28,29,30,31,473,341,36&Z=8192001

I am going to replace with 4GB with 8GB one, I've mentioned the link for that above I don't play games on my system, so I feel 8GB for Windows 10 64-bit is enough for me and I don't need to add extra RAM in future. I open browsers and test freeware apps, that's enough for me. What you guys say?

If you don't plan on using productivity software (games rarely need more than 8GB, it's other software that does, especially if you use chrome + other things), then make sure to get 2x4gb rather than 1x8gb. The price difference between 2x4GB and 2x8GB isn't that much, though which is up to you

You're saying choosing 1*8GB is a bad decision, can you tell me why? I am completely noob to these, you're suggesting me to go for either 2*4GB or 2*8GB can you tell me what's the reason for this?
since I already have one Kingston 4GB DDR3 RAM (KVR1333D3N9/4G), should I add the same 1*4GB again that makes total 8GB, is it OK? It's confusing to me, I am in dilemma now, I've already ordered Corsair 1*8GB two hours back, should I cancel that?
If I order 1*4GB Kingston KVR1333D3N9 it costs me $27
If I order 1*8GB Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10), it costs me $68
If I order 2*8GB which I don't need, I need to pay $136
Note: The current Kingston 4GB RAM I am using is 4 years old.

Memory has two modes, single channel and the much faster dual channel. Considering you have no graphics card, you need as much memory speed as possible. The best way to do that is using dual channel, which means two sticks in a pair (you should always use paired memory)

SIr I've updated my previous reply http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2996468/mix-8gb-ram-current-4gb-kingston-ram-dh61ww-motherboard.html#17629361, you can read that and reply.

Did you even look at the link I gave you???

2x4GB is ~$30-35
2x8GB is ~$60-75

Even if you are confusing $ for AUD, your prices make no sense (2x4 is ~60AUD, 2x8 is ~100)

I live in India, I've caluculated these based on INR and converted them to dollars for your understanding, prices here online even on Amazon completely different to U.S.

Ok, still, check the models on that site and you'll find cheaper options than the corsair.

Always 2x4GB or 2x8, just remember that

Ok, I am jut getting to understand now, since 2*4GB kit not available for us online, can I buy two 4GB rams seperately of same brand and same speed now? And throw away the current one will that be OK?

Legenda in Aeternum
i3 2100 is native to 1066/1333 so 1600 may well be iffy, you can't go based on what the mobo can handle, the defining point is the MC (memory controller) in the CPU. i.e. you can throw your CPU in a p67 or Z77 mobo that can run 2133, 2400 or better but you aren't going to be able to run 2400 DRAM at 2400 with your CPU

At the same time, it will not harm the system to put 1600MHz (XMP) memory either. Basically he just needs to get the cheapest 2x4 or 2x8 pair, it doesn't matter if it's 1333 or 1600 (some 1333 are more expensive for some reason). That's why I gave him a list of both 1333 and 1600 sticks, and he can then find a cheap pair in his country
