so i got an old computer from someone but i want to upgrade 3 parts,
- the motherboard
- the GPU
- Ram

i got this case with a 500W PSU:
Aerocool ExtremEngine 3T
It has this motherboard:
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/P6N_SLI.html#hero-specification

so i checked online for a motherboard and this is the one i think i need:
Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H
it is a ATX/micro ATX case and the motherboard is Micro-ATX so that should fit

it has a 1151 socket, a PCI-e 3.0 x16 and ddr4 memory slots.
I was thinking about a intel i5-6400k with a gtx 970 with 8gb of ddr4 ram

Ram: Kingston HyperX Fury HX421C14FB/8
gpu: https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GTX-970-GAMING-4G.html#hero-overview

can someone tell me this is good? or is there something i need to change?
i checked so many forums online if it was good but i need someone to confirm this.
Thanks

The price is (for the GPU CPU motherboard and RAM) about 655 euro's - 718,53 dollars

If you are going to upgrade, you are basically changing the whole computer. As for CPU, best invest in an i5-6500, way better performance than 6400 and only $15 more. Also note that the builtin PSU is most likely bad, are you sure it can handle a gtx 970? Does it have the required pins?

that is what i'm affraid of, the pins, if they will connect/fit
The pc was custom build about less then 10 years ago so the psu could be good, but it defenitly is old...
PSu is solytech sl 8500btx, there isn't much info on the internet
That was my main problem, does it have the pins i need for the GPU/Mobo etc.

(the i5 6500 is a good option)

Ofcourse the PSU won't fit, it won't have a 6+2 pin connector, that probably didn't even excist 10 years ago (._. )
