EVGA 950 sucks. Getting a 960. Wonder if SLI.

I have a GTX 950 from EVGA and i am really unhappy with the performance. It gets really hot even at low-end tasks. Im planning on getting an MSI 960 100me. Now, lets get to the question. Can i SLI this? and if i can't, would my 950 and 960 combined gain some extra juice than the 960 alone? (without sli if sli isn't compatible.

You can only SLI the same model so only GTX 960 can SLI with other GTX 960s with the same VRAM.
Also your motherboard need to support SLI and you need an adequate power supply.
Going with a single higher end graphic card is more ideal than SLI lower end models.

Ok, i sorta got it. Well maybe i could sell the 950 and get another 960 instead.

And also, even if i dont SLI, would it be worth it to use my 950 for my second monitor and the 970 for the primary one?
And even if i dont SLI would i still gain power?

Along with this you also need to consider that if your current card is getting really hot now the same will happen with the 960 esp so if you go SLI. What type of case and cooling do you have? What temps do you consider high? These GPU's are rated for up to 92c.
