Hello,

I am looking to get some feedback on a full upgrade for my desktop gaming pc.
This is what I came up with:

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P
CPU: i5-6600K
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Video card: Zotac gtx 970
PSU: Seasonic SS-520GM2 (xilence XP500 is my old PSU, I was told this one is really bad and I should get a new one)
Memory: 1x 8GB DDR4 2666MHz
Storage: Samsung MZ-75E500B/EU 850 EVO 500GB SSD

I already own the video card so that cannot change, all other parts are going to be bought. This is my first build and it has taken quite a bit of research already so mainly I want to know if I overlooked something concerning compatibility and whether or not these parts fit well with my GTX970 in terms of quality/power for a gaming application (e.g. I was deciding between the i5 6600k and the i7 6700 and decided the i5 would be more suitable for me).

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you for the replies.

This was my reasoning, I currently have 16GB DDR3 and I dont think i am using much more than 8 of it with the games I currently run so I picked the 8GB DDR4 to have a nice option of getting another one should I need it.

Yes I will most likely keep my current HDD as a secondary storage drive. It's a Samsung HD 103SJ.

Cryorig h7 is very close to it in price (slightly more expensive), but has better performance. He has an unlocked processor, so why not go ahead and increase its thermal limits?

Thanks guys! I am from Germany so NCIX you linked is not really an option but thanks anyway.

The Cryonig h7 is only like 2€ more so I might actually get that one if it's performance is better. I nerver OCed anything before but I really want the option to overclock the i5 in the future.

Everything else looking solid? Any comment on the motherboard?

The motherboard looks like a good buy while it is on sale. How much money are you allocating to your motherboard?
