Smell coming from PC after new GPU

I recently purchased a gtx 960 gigabyte OC 4GB not 2 weeks ago, and every time when I run a heavy game (ex: Witcher 3) it starts to smell like burnt plastic.

I have been trying to determine whether it is from my GPU or my PSU, I took out my case multiple times and even ran my PC without its case and smell sort of seems to be coming from back of my graphics card (opposite side of fans) but my PSU also smells a bit like it. I can't tell for sure whether it is my graphics or my PSU,

I am already replacing my GPU hoping to see whether the smell fades away or not.
But maybe my PSU isn't enough (Even though I asked here a few weeks ago and people said it was okay).
This is my PSU: http://puu.sh/niWBt/5cb9389c74.png
GPU:
• NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 400 Watt or greater system power supply.
• the system power supply must also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 28 Amps or greater
• the system power supply should also have at least one 75-Watt 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector There are some non-reference design cards that require two 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors

Sorry for the lengthy post, but I hope someone can help me out here.

I would recommend changing the PSU, that is a unit labeling 500w but only capable of 360w on the 12v rails (of which each are only capable of 20 amps)
That is not a real 500w PSU, it is probably capable of 500w peak for a very short time, but if you notice underneath it says total output shall not exceed 427.9w.

This this is not the worst PSU in the world it is far from good. Also depending on how old that PSU is to can probably no longer sustain that 427.9w.

If you get the smell an or see any kind of smoke, an the pc turns itself off, its most definitely the psu. also if it smokes, turn it off immediately. A broke psu is a quick to destroy alot of internal components. frankly, i think this is your psu, id vote to pop a new one or different one in there an see if the smell goes away. or buy a new one in general as its not worth the risk of the psu blowing an destroying more hardware.
