So here is the deal, i've been saving money and in a few months i will have a budget of a 1000 euros(i'm from Europe :p) to buy a new computer as right now i have a prehistoric one that can't really run any games post 2010 with more then 5-10 fps. Here are the components i planned.

- CPU: Intel i5-6400 3.2GHz Quad Core Skylake.
- GPU: ASUS STRIX NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB GDDR5
- RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz
- Motherboard: ASUS Z170-E
- Power Supply: 600w AeroCool Integrator Power Supply
- Case: AeroCool Aero-800 Windowed Midi Tower
- CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Contac 21 CPU Air Cooler

For everything else i'm sure but i simply can't really decide if i5-6400 is good enough. Some people said get 4690k, while others said get 6400, 6500 or 6600k. I watched a lot of benchmarks and it seems that the 6600k is the best of these 4, but is it really worth it to pay like 50 more for a 10-15 fps increase? Will any of these CPU's have a conflict with the motherboard and GPU i mentioned above?

Take into consideration that i plan on using this computer for at least 5-6 years, mainly for gaming and i want to run games with medium to high settings on 1920x1080 resolution.

This is my first time building a PC, so go easy on me.

So what are your thoughts, which CPU should i get?

Forget about the 4690k and 6600k. The best i5s for the money are the i5 4460, i5 4590 on a B85 or H97 motherboard, or the i5 6500, i5 6600 on a B150 or H170 motherboard.

You could probably get an i5 6600 + B150 for the same price as the i5 6400 + Z170 motherboard. You're wasting money on that Z board. You also don't need to buy a cpu cooler for any of the i5s mentioned above.

Another important note- You MUST buy a better psu than a Aerocool. That's total garbage.
