Hi there. I need some advice after going through an awful experience with windows 10. My problem was that the PC froze during a windows 10 update to the Black screen with blinking cursor which I could not solve and eventually I factory reset it since thankfully Gateway had an option I found to do that. PC was originally Windows 7 Premium Home which is what is reset to. I still cannot believe that processed worked as well as it has. PC is working very nicely on day 1 of this conversion.
I set it not to update windows automatically and the search for updates was as expected massive and I know there will be more after round 1, since updates make others updates. There are 239 IMPORTANT updates available, so my main question since I am terrified to do this, is how should I handle this? I really would appreciate some advice.
One note is I DID install my Video card Drivers which I probably should not have done since .NET Framework updates are everywhere. Other than that I reinstalled Norton 360, Office 365, Advanced System care PRO, Google Chrome, Steam, 1 Game, and my external Hard Drive.
Thank you in advance.
