Hey there! My newly built PC won't power on, or rather it won't stay powered on, it turns on for about half a second before turning back off again, I have managed to narrow it down to a motherboard issue by testing the other components, and there is definitely no contact between the case and the mobo, so there is no shorting happening that I am aware of. However on the CPU socket there is a single (or at perhaps a couple, it's hard to tell exactly) bent pin, do you think this is the cause of my problem? The CPU itself seems absolutely fine.

Many thanks!

I greatly appreciate the swift response, but I'm somewhat tentative when it comes to bending back the pins as I don't have a spare CPU with which to test, I don't want to risk frying my CPU if I mess up on the bending.

Bit of a late reply on my part but I did as you said and bent the pin back into place, lo and behold I am typing this reply on the new PC. Thank you kindly for your help.
