Need some help before building my first gaming PC

Hi everyone sorry im not all that expierienced at this, but i was wondering if anyone could look over my gaming PC build. If you guys could give me any advice, (ex. if anything is incompatible, any similar priced parts that would be better, general knowledge) I would highly appreciate it :)

fyi: i do realize that my current build is not optimal for overclocking

CPU: Intel 6600K
Motherboard: MSI B150M Mortar w/ DDR4 2133,
GPU: MSI Radeon R9 380 Gaming 2GB
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO Series Solid State Drive, 250GB
HDD: Seagate 1TB Desktop HDD
Power Supply: Corsair CX Series CX750M Modular Power Supply
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB (2x 8GB)
or RipjawsX Series 16GB PC3-12800 (2x8GB) (help me decide)

If you stick with a B150 board you will need a new Z170 board to overclock the processor. I would go with a 650W-750W PSU if you plan on overclocking in the future.

Yes I wouldnt spend the extra on a K processor if your not going to get a Z170 board. Waste of money to be honest, why dont you go with the 6500 or 6600(non K)? Also change the PSU to something better, EVGA G2 or a Seasonic unit would be Ideal.

You only need like 500W+ if you're not overclocking. I'd get a 520W Seasonic or EVGA G2 like Gamer1985 said.

Core i5-6500 or 6600 would give the same performance for less cash, just can't be overclocked.

You only need 4GB RAM for games at the moment, 8GB is recommended just to be sure. 16GB is far more than you need for games.

I will take a look into different PSU's thanks for that however I am on a budget now and down the road I would like to be able to overclock.

Would I simply need to replace the board to OC or would I need something else?

Yeah I agree, it makes zero sense to buy a B150 motherboard with an unlocked processor. You're wasting your money that way. Either you are going to overclock or you're not going to overclock. What is your overall budget?

I'm trying to stay in the $1100ish Canadian (850 US) Range I wish the dollar was higher about now, but Computer parts prices didn't seem to shoot up in Canada as much as many other things did with the low dollar.

I am saving for a car among other things so I didn't want to push that budget

Plus I have no experience overclocking anyway, so if I ever want to and when I learn how I can make the switch
