Hi,
I am having problems with the internet connection on my desktop and the speed is limited. This is from my room, where I have checked the speed test (speedtest.net) on my phone and tab and it shows around 30 Mbps whereas on my desktop its 1-5 Mbps mostly. I tried to fix this a while now and once I managed to get the 30 Mbps (when I calibrate a new line from the xfast lane app) but after the upgrade to windows 10 it dropped again. So I switched back to windows 7 and am still running into this problem.

Desktop Component (Present):
Z77 Extreme4
XFX PRO750W
ASUS PCE-N15 11n wireless lan pci-e card
Windows 7 (Service Pack 1)

Router:
Netgear (Cable Home Network Gateway CG3100D-2BPAUS)

List of programs after the reformat:

My internet service provider is from Tesltra (Australia) and its a cable internet with 1000GB data per month. The router is in the kitchen, about 10meters from my room. No ethernet cable going from the router its all wireless. There are others in the house using the internet as well about 5-7 devices connected. Please give any help/suggestions if you have had this problem.

Cheers,
Dee

Edit: Have already done reformat a few times, still not helping and now the internet connections seems to get disconnected randomly as well.

Have you tried obtaining a speed test while all the other so called devices were offline? Also regarding the speed test you obtained through your phone, was it when all the other devices were connected? The thing is when more than one or two devices are connected to the same connection, the data packets are distributed among them in a priority-based manner. If you could, can you mention the other devices that were connected?

Yes, I have tried while all the other devices were disconnected it is the same gets around 10 mbps. Way less than what i got on the other devices during all devices were connected. The internet keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every 5-10 mins just for this pc as well. Its the same even after switching off and on the router. the other devices are just the laptops, tab, and phone.

I think its been fixed. Got a new netgear AC1200 dongle wifi usb adapter, and the speed is back to normal with no connection drop out yet. Just disabled the old adapter for now.
