Budget Range: $2000 - $2750 total

System Usage from Most to Least Important: games, Star Citizen, Occulus Rift

Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, Nvidia video

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200, plus occulus

Additional Comments: Need to have a window and lots of bling.  Want some future protection.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Need a new system to run consumer Oculus Rift and want a system that will be good for Star Citizen.

You can always invest in more ram, bigger SSD, a second GPU, but personally I see no reason to spend that money right now. I would use this and stash the other money and once Pascal comes, sell the gtx 980ti and get a new GPU. No point in going SLI, but since you have the budget, if you want to, it's possible.
