Best method to capture gameplay?

Hey guys, so far I'm very disappointed in the capture softwares that record gameplay, because I notice a lot of stuttering and really poor quality even at 1080p. Shadowplay doesn't do it for me, since for some reason it only records corrupted videos at 1440p and above and the 1080p isn't good enough, so I have no idea how to properly record my gameplay. What choices do I have for buttery smooth high quality gameplay? I have a 1440p 144hz G-sync monitor so I need a method to at least record at 1440p 144fps!

Don't the pro's use dual PC's in one case to achieve reliable, smooth recording? I guess that's (still) the best way.

You could look at the Elgato stuff but might struggle at the resolution you are aiming for. Why does the recording have to be at 1440 @ 144fps exactly?? Perhaps find out what the trouble is with shadowplay? What GPU do you have??

I have a 980Ti HoF edition and I was able to record at 1440p on my 1080p monitor, but since the installation of the 1440p and the new drivers every video recorded above 1080p is totally broken! I contacted Nvidia but they didn't even care enough to respond!

There's the free OBS software: https://obsproject.com

If going above 1080p is important to you, you'll eventually want to move to a dual PC configuration as mentioned above.

Well just purchase another PC as suggested!!

If you can even record at that resolutin and frame rate, the videos would be too big to store on your PC, even in h.264.
