So, as I've figured out now; I own a 780 Ti Classified.. I wanted to SLI so I bought another one, or so I thought. I bought the 780ti Classfied KINGPIN edition...
Both cards have 2x8 pin connectors and 1x6 pin connector.
I never used the 1x6 pin connector on my Classfied edition.
The kingpin edition will not work without the edition so 6pin connector.
I paid a little over 300 for this 780ti kingpin on eBay, and returning it might be a pain.
Is there something I can do to force the kingpin to not demand the 6 pin connector (like my classified edition)? I don't mind if it's detuned a little. I'm just trying to limp myself along until pascal and the other new stuff coming this year.
Or should I try to return it?
Really don't feel like buying a new PSU just for one more editional 6pin connector. Perhaps there's another way I could get power to it? (6pin pcie adapters?)
