If I start using Firefox, whether its 10 Tabs at once, or I have just been browsing for a while, I need to use CTRL + ALT + DELETE and "End Task" of Firefox and restart it. Not even doing very much I easily use 800 MB+ of memory, and that's light usage. My Laptop is Brand New Its a Hp Pavilion 17-g120ds with Windows 10, 1TB Hard Drive, and 8GB of RAM.

I'm a little confused how out of 8 GB of ram its letting not even 1/8th of the Memory's capacity bog it down so bad. Although alone Firefox It self will show it sometimes is using 50%+ of my "CPU".

I believe it is all the Adobe Flash Running on however many web pages. I am free of Malware, I use less then 100 GB of my 1TB available. Ive tried blocking Flash with browser Add On's but the problem is the majority of websites i frequent and use at the same time all run Flash so I end up having to make exceptions for every site I view anyways.

Can anyone help me out? Or explain any options to me? Is another Stick of RAM the answer? or what should i be looking at?

Please and Thank you All.

I think that your problem is less with Firefox itself, and more with the startup objects that are put into HP computers at factory. If you go into your task manager and navigate to the startup tab, then reply here with what all is listed under the startup tab and I'll let you know what can be disabled and and what needs to be left alone.

The problem could be as simple as something that's set to start with Windows could be making a request from Firefox while it's running, causing a just in core clock usage.

Also, your hard drive is a rather low RPM and could also be causing a bottleneck. I would recommend upgrading to something like the Samsung SSD 850 EVO series of solid state hard drives. Any standard 2.5" HDD or SSD will fit in your...

Any standard 2.5" HDD or SSD will fit in your HDD bay and should work fine. Please note that the hard drive upgrade is optional here and it's best to try the startup objects first.

Firefox does usually takes up more resources and Adobe Flash also affects your performance. But less and less websites are using flash nowadays because of HTML 5.
So, if you're not happy with firefox's performance, maybe find another browser.
