Intel HM86 SATA type for optical - SATA III?

Does anyone know if the optical is connected via SATA 3 for the ASUS N550JX-TH72T?
That is good question, because only the person own this laptop can answer it, but he/she may not read your thread, also I can't find any reviews about that too. So I think you will or will not get your answer.
And back to the hdd caddy, I guess you may want to use it for the SSD and use the HDD for storage, right? But how about just buy a big size SSD like the 500GB one, then replace the 1TB HDD. And buy the sata to usb3.0 adapter for the 2.5" disk, the adapter like http://i01.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/1789525925_1/5Gbps-Supoer-Speed-USB-3-0-to-SATA-22-Pin-2-5-Hard-Disk-Driver-SSD.jpg

But if you want the hdd caddy, may try this because you need one can fit into your laptop. http://hddcaddy.com/en/asus-hdd-caddy/1235-asus-n550jx-hdd-caddy.html Also look for more info about the caddy, http://hddcaddy.com/en/content/9-what-hard-drive-or-ssd-can-you-use-with-hdd-caddy

I have two Samsung SSDs that are still functional and I don't want to spend more money right now. If money wasn't an issue, I would buy the Zenbook 501 :)
