Is there a temperature monitor program that will notify me when my pc temperature gets too high?

CoreTemp is a good one. You can set it so that it will minimize and close to your taskbar's notification area and it can be set to warn you and/or shut down the computer when it gets too hot. www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

I personally use this program when monitoring temps on my FX 8350 which I run at about 5.2GHz.

But does it only check the processor's temperature? I'd like one that also checks the gpu

CoreTemp is only for the CPU
