Someone says that it should not go over 40c with this cooler but mines climbs up to 47c with stock settings using Aida64 stability test i get motherboard - 27c, cpu - 47c, gpu - 76c, ambient 18-20c or like one guy on youtube is oc'id his fx8350 with same cooler and gets low temps...Case im using is IN Win GRone with buch of fans, top in win stock fan, rear nf-p14, cpu heatsink nf-f12 pwm and nf-a15 pwm, bottom - in win stock fan, front nf-s12a flx and nf-p12, behind hdd cage - nf-s12a flx. So why they get low temps, and im not even using same cooler same stock settings, maybe because gpu is in closest to cpu slot, and it makes a lot of heat (300w max), someone suggested moving gpu to the second x16 slot which is farther away from cpu heatsink.Tried noctua's paste, and arctic cooling mx4.im confused was about to buy another bunch of fans....crazy.

Solution
I have mine at 5.2 With a Big Air Phanteks PH-TC14PE , hits around 60 even under load.

You can't keep these under 40 even on stock.

the guy from overclock.net said like this The 290X really puts out a lot of heat. So much that I had to move mine down to the bottom slot to get it away from the CPU. That is not a problem with the Sabertooth as all slots are 16X.
An 8350 @ 4.2 ghz with a D14 should never go over 40C even when being stress tested. Put the better case fans in there and start overclocking!
and another thing that was lie - sabertooth 990fx r2.0 has all pcie x16 slots, where it has only 2 - x16 slots, 1 - x8, 1 - x4 speed

He's full of BS. In idle it shouldn't go over 40 c. Under load, keep it under 62, as said.
Yes, 290X does emit a lot of heat, I made a sidedoor hole just for a 120mm fan to pull that air out.
I have watercooling so theres little air going over CPU, CPU was heating up bad.

I got myself a new sound card - same one i had ( https://www.asus.com/Sound-Cards/Xonar_DG/ ) just with pci-e connector ( https://www.asus.com/Sound-Cards/Xonar_DGX/ ) then i, moved gpu down to the second pci-e x16 slot and, moved sound card up to pci-e x1 slot, cpu temp running prime95 small FFT's maximum heat test was 47cpu, friend said open the side panel it will help, but it only reduced cpu temp by 1c...

Hard to say, I had the smaller Noctua. Can't remember what it's called. Probably U12S. I could only run 4.4 Ghz with it before CPU overheated.

With H100i I can run 4.8 Ghz no problem. Even with fans on Silent, unless I run some crazy heavy loads on CPU like 6 EQ2 clients at once, taxing CPU 100% on every core. With Balanced fan-mode my machine can handle any heat. I could run 5 Ghz but my CPU just isn't one of those golden samples. It isn't stable over 4.8 Ghz.

The highest I've seen with said 6 clients of Everquest 2 is 55-56 celsius.

How about now? i added some fans changed one cpu fan, and now i get 30c idle temps and 44c with prime95 small FFT's (maximum heat) torture test for 15 minutes, here's how it looks now IN WIN GRone 1 x NF-S12A FLX - rear, 3 x NF-S12A FLX - top, 1 x NF-P12 - bottom, 1 x NF-S12A FLX - behind hdd trays, 1 x NF-S12A FLX - front top + 1 x NF-P12 front bottom, 2 x NF-A15 on NH-D14 cpu cooler :)
