Paying for 100Mbps but only getting 60Mbps

Hello,
I just upgraded to the TWC Ultimate 100 plan from their Extreme (50 Mbps). I noticed when I connect through my router (Dlink DIR-605L), I'm averaging about 60-68 Mbps. But with a direct connection, I get 118 Mbps. I wondering what router I should upgrade to? There's about 2 device connected to my current router and 3-4 using wireless.

Depends on your price range but any router with a 1000mb/s or gigabit WAN port and LAN ports will be needed to get full speeds and 5ghz wireless N or AC as well.

That DIR-605L has only 100Mbit wired connections. Those will definitely limit you. The AC1200 to AC1900 routers are your best bet. Use the Router Ranker over at smallnetbuilder.com to compare your choices -- http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/tools/rankers/router/view

Just bear in mind that it depends on your wireless adapter too. There's no point getting a high end 3:3 AC router if you're running a cheap wireless adapter.
