Adding a different DDR3?

I'm sure this question has been answered before but I cant find it? I have 2 x 4GB of DDR3 PC3 10700 (667mhz) installed and 1 x 4GB PC3 1200U-11-11-B1 that was in the computer before I installed these other two. My question is, can I install the single PC3 1200U as well instead of it sitting around doing nothing? I dont know what the MHZ are on the PC3 1200U. I got the details for the others off Speccy.

You have running, 2x4 gig of 1333 ram in dual channel mode.
the spare is 1x4 gig of 1600.
If you put the spare stick in you will have a possible 2x4 gig 1333 in dual channel plus 1x4 gig 1333 in single channel mode, or 12 gig of single channel running at 1066 or 1333. It depends on the motherboard chipset and cpu.
What ever you do, if you can find another 4 gig stick (1333+) and try it you might get 4 x 1333 in dual channel mode. (might,if its all timings & voltage compatible)
Otherwise, dont put the spare stick in,it will put stress on the memory controller and not help anything.
If you are video editing or similar it may help by a very small margin but I wouldnt recommend it.

Yes that sounds right! I was just checking because there's so many variables frequency,voltage,etc...so Ill leave it well alone while my compter is working perfectly.lol Thanks mate.

Yeah I'm just going to leave it as it is because I only use my computer for emails and watching movies,Vimeo,YouTube etc...
