Complete difference in protocols, frequency, backhaul, power output, size etc.
But they serve similar purposes.

Massively different pretty much all they have in common is that they are both radio based systems. The key and most important difference is that the end devices are controlled by the cell tower network which includes everything from power output to when they can send data. WiFi is pretty much the wild west where all the device including the AP are independent of each other with no effort to control traffic.
