Help! CoolerMaster T4 on Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Board cpu heatsink/fan

Help I'm installing a Cooler Master T4 onto a Asus z170 Pro gaming motherboard and the instructions say put the screws right into the motherboard and they just freely spin

Do you mean the black plate screws? If so did you install the black sliders that go on the end to lock the screws in place?
