NZXT H440 Not turning on- Newly Built PC

Ok so here are my specs
Case:Nzxt H440
MOBO: ASUS Maximus Hero VIII
CPU: Intel Core i5 6600k
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980ti ASUS stix edition
HDD WD Caviar Black
SSD Samsung EVO 250gb
RAM COrair Vengence LPX 16gb
PSU: Corsair 750w Semi Modular.
CPU Cooler: Corsair H105

Ok so heres the issue. I build the PC fine. I put all the right ports in the right places. This is evident when i turn on the MOBO/ power supply. When i turn on the PSU, it doesnt make any noise or the fan doesnt spin..ok normal, because i havent turned on the PC Yet. The motherboar lights up red (its supposed to its an ASUS board lol) when i pressed the start button and so did the GPU (white led's appear). I used the ASUS Q Connector to connect the front panel accessories and....I cant turn on my PC...at all. I dont get it. I tested out all the USB ports on the front and they work a treat, Just when i press the power button..no result. I know what you are thinking. You havent connected the front panels correctly... YOu are probably right. When i turn on my PSU, the case Power button LED lights up for a second and dies. When i press it, no result. Yes i have tried using no ASUS Q connector and that makes things worse as there is no power button LED blip and franly, the way the CAse and Motherboard manuel instruct you to do it is beyond terrible.. Included is photos of what state its in. I have built one pc before for a friend and had no issues like this. Please help. Super worried i wasted a ton of money. The problem is it could be anything. IT could be a PSU issue, it could be a defective case. It could be a motherboard issue...or it could be my stupidity... It's probably that. I know my stuff but dont get too technical. Simplicity is key. Any help would be great guys.

Solution
Get rid of that connector and just use the cables to connect to the motherboard. Only reason this would not work is if the cables are connected wrong, the power supply is bad or the motherboard is bad. If you used a CX model power supply, I'd exchange that for a better model before you start using it. Running all your pricey hardware on a mid-range power supply is not good (assuming you have a CX model, which many people get).
