Hello there, I have just tried to install windows 7 pro via bootable usb onto my SSD, my motherboard is Asus h110m0-a. I have tried loading the drivers from the support dvd I was given but each time saying Windows setup could not install critical drivers etc.

So I have tried to load the intel(R) 100 series/C230 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller driver only to be prompted that the device driver could not be installed. If I try with the support disc I get the Windows Setup could not install one or more boot-critial drivers message

What should I do at this point? I'm not sure if I have to update my bios or that I need a different version of windows, the thing is that I have tested the bootable usb on my laptop with no issue. I'd appreciate some help thank you.

You can try to make a modified window 7 pro installation media on a USB on another working pc. That's method 3.

I've just tried these with no avail, I'm not sure if its the cd that's not being read correctly as when I try to boot from the cd to install the updates I'm given an option to boot to disc in a dos envrioment and then it boots to freedos presumably from the cd, can I access the asus install software from here? and why did it not load ms dos instead?
