I have one domain user on my company's domain that will not connect to the server's network drives or via remote connection on a particular computer. It can ping the server and can run server based software, just can't access the drives. It prompts me to enter the password and no matter how many times I enter it it tells me it is incorrect when it is not. If I log on as that user on a different computer it works fine. if I log onto that computer as a different user, it is fine. Just something with that user on that particular computer.
When this all started I discovered that this user/ this computer was infected with the trojan DNSchanger. I have removed that and flushed the dns but still not allowing the connection. I checked that the router settings were not affected. I have restarted the server and reset the user account. I don't know what else to try.
This is the first time I have actually posted a question on here because usually I can find someone else who has already asked the same thing, but this one seems unique. Any help would be appreciated!

In many profile issues, I don't bother trying to dig too far into why it failed. If I can't figure it out in 30 minutes of research and testing, new profile, copy files...

have you tried using the IP address of the server instead of the server name

Thanks! That is essentially what I ended up doing. I created a new account for the user, just added their last initial and set them up on that account. Things seem to be fine. My curious mind was hoping to find out what was up with the other account, but practically just needed to make something work so they could use the computer again!
