i think it's 700 w i'm not sure if it's 750 or 700 i think it's actually 700 , or do i need a 1000 w for the utmost effect , not that i want the utmost OC features but i don't want to damage the CPU with my current PSU

probably with an msi mainboard , my gpu is an r9 270x with 2 6 pin connectors

thanks for your help in advance

i've heard tier 1 and 2 but i don't know what it means , is it on the box ? so i can look ?

my current motherboard is a z97 with an intel cpu , but if i buy that 9590 i plan to buy msi 990FXA gaming mainboard , , my cooler is a cooler master v6 that says can be used for the AM3+ socket too , but i can pay for one of those corsair liquid coolers if i don't have to pay for another psu ?! what do you suggest ? thanks for your help

my psu is iranian made , it's called Green and i think it's 700 w maybe 750 i'm not sure , it's a company that buys licenses from abroad and manufactures them in iran that's why it's cheap to buy

my current specs are:

4790 haswell non-k

asus z-97-k motherboard
cosmos II case
r9 270x asus gpu

2 geil 4gb ddr3 and one corsair , lol i don't remember 8 gb ddr3

one 60 gb kingston ssd

two 240 gb corsair ssd s for drive D

cooler master v6 cpu cooler originally for socket 1155 but also works on this one (1150) , see my other thread ..

LG tv 40 inch for monitor ^^

if i change my gpu i have to change my motherboard too , cause with it's latest bios there's no pci e 3 only a 2 , and that makes things complicated , i've also never tried / had AMD before

Also I don't think any z97 mobo is pcie 2.0 I believe they are all 3.0 and even so a 3.0 gpu will run perfectly on a motherboard with pcie 2.0 on it. I have a Msi motherboard with pcie 2.0 using a gtx970 for running division in my wife's computer and it runs the game perfectly at 1080p with absolutely no problems at all and holds 60fps all day long on all high settings. Definitely upgrade your power supply to something like a evga or xfx. Cheap off brand power supplies will destroy an entire computer when....not if but when they crap out. Upgrade your psu and gpu and keep the Intel because it's better than the amd.

your cpu is superior to the FX . dont switch to AMD. about your psu i will treat it as a bad one since it remains a no name. maybe a mediocre at best as you dont have trouble running R9 270x with it. dont waste your money. if you need better gaming performance get a stronger gpu. i would also suggest a high quality psu if you decide to upgrade.

your mobo Z97 - k is just fine and has pcie 3.0 . even if it didnt have, you would still be fine. there wouldnt be any performance difference.

well you guys are right , i'm better off buying a new gpu , but i will get some money for the iranian new year (from my dad) and i'm not really the kind of guy who saves money , if i want to spend it on gpu i'm not gonna be able to get something like the R9 Fury , maybe something just in between , but i was curious about the 9590 and you guys well explained it well , maybe i change my spending habits and save up to buy a new gpu next year .. i don't know

no , it doesn't suck , my previous psu was the same brand , a 450 watts , and it's been working non stop for the past 6 years !

What brand/unit is it? I make these assumptions at times, but if you gave me both I could assure you. And note that your personal experience does not make a PSU good or bad necessarily. There are important things beside longevity. ;)
