This is a noob question, but I currently have my two GPU's in slot 1/2 configured for SLI. My top card is about 15 degrees hotter that the bottom card and I was wondering if I could move the bottom GPU down to the slot 3 PCIe slot to get more air between the two cards and reduce the temps.

If it is possible, is there any performance hit?

I also have a Samsung PRO 850 M.2 SSD as well, if that makes a difference.

I actually removed one of the cages already so there is a nice gap there. I replaced the stock fans with 2 x Corsair AF140mm's. When I bought the case I screwed up and bought the non-airflow edition, so the front cover is actually solid and doesn't have the holes for air intake. I already have a replacement cover on the way (the correct one!) so that may help a bit.

The other thing I will probably do is utilize afterburner and curve the fans up on that hotter card. Right now it runs at about 80% speed when the temp reaches 80. I was thinking of cranking it to 100%
