I bought an Intel NUC5PGYH which has Windows 10.

It has a 32GB flash built-in.

I have installed an EVO 550 120GB SSD.

Now, I'm wondering how I should set it up.

(I've used SSD as the OS drive, but not as a secondary drive)

I could simply make the SSD D drive.

Am I correct that I want to leave the OS on the Flash memory drive C?

It appears that I cannot extend the flash C drive, but I can install the SSD so that it is accessed via an empty folder on the C drive instead of giving the SSD a drive letter.

I want simple management and to use the SSD storage as automatically and transparently as possible - without having to constantly think about what I'm doing.

I assume that I could change the Windows variables to move the download, picture, etc. folders to the the SSD.

Any suggestions on how to set this up most gratefully appreciated.

I would imagine that performance of the conventional ssd would be better than a flash drive. If you can, install windows on that.

As to easy management, I think you can aggregate the secondary flash drive as an extension to the C drive.
Don't know how to do this in windows 10. I think it is called JBOD span or similar.

While geofelt's answer would be the correct answer if I really wanted to use this computer for anything strenuous, but I bought it solely to stream stuff from the Internet that is not available via Roku or the Smart TV interface built-in to my TV.

It turns out that it is a major hassle to move the OS because the 32GB flash drive cannot be removed from the computer and because of the UFEI security. You have to create a bootable USB stick so you can move the OS, boot from the USB stick and format the 32GB Flash drive so that the system will boot from the new SSD.

As a result, USAFRet solution turns out to be, well simpler for my situation.
