So I am trying to find out which case I can use for upgrading my hp pavilion p7 1234. In it I have an Asus 7770 2gb gpu (specs http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121642 ), an EVGA 500w psu, and everything else is the same as it came. The cases I'm looking at are this one (http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-CA-1B1-00M1WN-01-Mid-tower-Computer-Chassis/dp/B00IZGWIRY/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1457734994&sr=1-1&keywords=Thermaltake+Versa+H23+Window+CA-1B1-00M1WN-01+Mid-tower+Computer+Chassis+%28Black%29) and this one (http://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Computer-Gaming-Desktop-CASE-V01/dp/B011AJRSK4/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1457735072&sr=1-1&keywords=VIVO+ATX+Mid+Tower+Computer+Gaming+PC+Case+%2F+Black+Desktop+Shell+%2F+4+Fan+Mounts%2C+USB+3.0+Port+%28CASE-V01%29 ) If you have any more suggestions on cases preferably 40$ or under tell me please. Also I was wondering what a good cpu upgrade would be for 100$ or less. Thanks.

Both of the cases you're considering will work just fine, although they're full ATX cases rather than microATX like your current case. I'm not sure what you're looking for in a case, but here's one I've personally reviewed and liked: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811208052 (here's the review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6uAfrlVC0w) Right now it's $32, so if you're looking to save some space I'd go for that since it's a microATX case.

As for your CPU question, the A8-3870K is the best CPU you can use in that system. It adds 400 MHz to the CPU clock (~15% improvement) and beefs up the integrated graphics quite a bit, although that most likely wouldn't affect you at all. You can grab one for $60 on eBay.
