I'm building my first PC atm and i'm having some trouble secruing the corsair H80i GT backplate to my ASUS Z170-AR MOBO, I have a i5-6600k so LGA1151 and i'm just worried that this gap in-between my MOBO and backplate is going to result in high temps. Anything I can do to make this more secure???

Thanks

Solution
Put a #8 nylon washer on each corner of the backplate before placing it against the bottom of the motherboard.

Preferably the backplate's posts should be flush with the top surface of the motherboard. When you screw in the mounting posts the looseness should be gone.

You can then mount the cooling block to the CPU and attach the thumb screws to the mounting posts.
