Compatible motherboard for I7 4790k setup?

Hello!

I'm planning on building a pc and I'm currently debating on a reasonable motherboard for my I7 4790k setup.

Setup:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB
Memory: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970
PSU: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W

please feel free to comment any compatible motherboards! (preferably in the $100-$150 range) also any other recommendations with the graphics card?

Then if you don't plan on overclocking then get the locked Intel Core i7-4790 Processor which gives the same performance as the ''k'' version when not overclocked. You will save a little money there to help you with getting a decent PSU. As for motherboard, the Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 LGA 1150 Z97 HDMI 2-Way CrossFire ATX Motherboard is a perfect choice and is just below $100. You can now get the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 80+ GOLD 750 Watts PSU which will be excellent for your build and give you even room fir future upgrades.

The 4790K actually has higher stock clock rates, so without OC it's still better.

Well, I've decided to get an i7 4790k for future possible upgrades.
However, i'm a little confused with the difference between DDR3 and DDR4 mobos. I've heard that DDR4 mobos are overall better/faster.
I'm also want to know more how the dual channel mobos work. Can you insert a quadchannel ram into them? or do you have buy two sets of identical dual channel? also can you insert a DDR4 ram into a dual channel mobo?
I apologize if I completely sound ignorant on the topic but this is my first time building a pc and I want it to be future proof while staying in the $1000 to $1500 price range (including peripherals).
