SSD/HDD not detected after power supply change

I just replaced my PSU and now my BIOS will not recognize the SSD. To further diagnose my problem, I plugged in my SSD into my old PSU and booted, everything functioned properly. I then turned off both power supplies and installed my HDD onto the new power supply and booted, the HDD was recognized and all files were intact. However, when I attempt to power the SSD on the new PSU, neither the SSD or the HDD are recognized in BIOS and I cannot properly boot.

tldr; SSD is not recognized in the bios with new PSU, but is still recognized when I install the old PSU. However, the PSU can't be faulty because when I booted with HDD installed on the new PSU it functioned properly.

Could someone please explain what is going on? Thank you in advance for any help!

Solution

I purchased a molex to
Sata power cable and everything works great now. The cable is about 3 dollars on Amazon. Hopefully this will also fix your problem.

It's a Antec 550 watt PSU. The piwesupply has two different rails for power and each rail has 5 or 6 connectors. The rails are both working because the HDD and a disc drive both function properly. I'm currently using the old PSU to power the SSD because that is the only thing working currently.
