hi,

new on the forum here not sure if it should be in the software or hardware forum. :D

i am currently running 2 gtx770 in sli, but in the division on low settings i get framerates from 100 fps with drops down to 5 fps.

is it worth upgrading to a single gtx 970 to get more stable fps?

some specs of my pc:
I5 4670K at 4.4Ghz
16Gb ram
gtx770 2x SLI
psu corsair RM850

thanks in advance

im battling this problem right now. still dont have it mastered myself, but im seeing a lot of people have luck with some fixes out there...

it seems to be a combination of sli problems and cpu maxing from the research i've done so far. i think mine is more cpu related as right now im running my 2 970s in sli and its working. i just played 2 hours with no issues, even though i've made no changes since last night where i got about an hour with no issues, then the framedrops hit me like a brick.
what i'm doing right now is letting the nvidia experience optimize the settings as it wants, then disabling all overlays from uplay, steam, even...
SLI and Crossfire always have these issues. If the game and driver do not have good support SLI is worthless and sometimes even slows games down. So a single faster GPU is always better than 2 slower gpu's in SLI or Crossfire. So I would sell your current cards and get a 970 at the min preferably a 980 and if you really want the best go for a 980Ti. That is if you are on the Nvidia train.. There are AMD options as well if you are open to them. The 390X, Fury Nano, Asus Fury, Fury X (water cooled so case needs space for the radiator to go). For some reason the AMD cards tend to age better and actually get faster with age till AMD makes them legacy GPU's (usually 5 years or so).

it seems to be working right now, even if it didnt last night. i'll update more as i narrow it down.

thanks for all the replies

hi bud

it could well be that because the game is so new that there is not a proper SLI based driver out yet. Have you tried running it with just the one card?

Also check how much vram you are using.

i have tried it with one card on low settings, then the frames seem better but it still drops to 5 at times.

the 980 isnt really in my budget at the moment. selling the 2 cards have to pay for most of the new card.

also here is a video of what happens in the game, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0nZAwA_OkI&feature=youtu.be
this is not my footage but this is exactly what happens.
