Custom water cooling Loop

Solution
Kits are nice to start with, but once you figure out what you really want and need, you can easily buy the components you want and are not bound by a 'kit'.

-Pros of a kit: you usually get all the pieces you need to setup a watercooling loop, usually for a CPU only as GPU blocks (full cover) are expensive and only usually work for a specific GPU.

-Cons of a kit: you only get the pieces you need to build a watercooling loop and you get the budget components unless you pay extra for options. Ex. cheaper tubing and barbs vs. good tubing and compression fittings. Barbs vs. fittings isn't that big of a deal, because there isn't a lot of difference between using either of them, but cheap tubing, well, looks cheap. You also will...
I've never used the EK "kits", so I can't really comment on the specifics of it. However, EK is highly regarded on these forums. I'm currently using their X99 VRM block in my system. This was the second one I had to order though, as the first was manufactured incorrectly (bad threads for mounting screws). I used their Pump top on my previous D5, which worked fine. A quick glance at the kit in a review looks fine from what I'm seeing.

You also will typically have to pay more for a better pump than the budget pump...especially if you plan to expand the kit.
