Hey
It's my first time building a PC, I chose out the parts I want but I'm not sure what motherboard to get. I'm very new to building a PC.

GPU: GTX 970
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690
RAM: 8GB

Solution
Hmm well asus msi and gigabyte are pretty much only motherboards worth buying and the more you spend the more features you get like vrm heatsinks to keep you system cool or built in wifi or the capability to have sli or crossfire setups. If you arent getting the k series 4690 then i guess overclocking isn't important to you so that puts you in a cheaper motherboard price bracket. Ad a rule of thumb i try to spend no less than $150 usd on my motherboards as at that price they usually have all the features i need at a minimum. You just need to look through msi's and asus's website and look at their motherboard features and see which features you want.

My budget is 800€, preferably under it, so around 760€-800€, the parts are pretty expensive in Estonia. I currently have around 655€ spent without the motherboard.
