So this is the build I've put together. What do you guys think? I'm pretty unsure about the Motherboard I can't find a good way to choose between them. I leaned to 390 over 970 because it seemed like the 8GB makes it easier to multitask.

Solution
At 1080p the two graphics cards are near enough identical . One is better in some games , the other in others . The extra VRAM on the 390 pays off at higher resolutions . At 1080p I would buy a GTX 970 just because it uses less power and will run cooler.

If you can stretch your budget a little you can have the latest skylake processor
