Hi. I just built my own PC. I downloaded the windows 10 iso to a dvd and I put it in my dvd drive. I set the bios to boot to to the dvd drive, but when it boots, it tells me:
Reboot and select proper boot device.
or inset boot media in selected boot device and press a key.
If I press a key, it displays the message again. When I open the dvd drive and then close it and then press a key, it waits a bit then tells me it again.

Solution
did you use the windows media creation tool or the free microsoft iso to usb/dvd tool to make the dvd?? if not the dvd may not be bootable. in the bios make sure under boot the bios set for efi and legacy boot. turn off secure boot and under dvd make sure the dvd det as the first boot device. some mb at post if you hit f11 you can select the boot drive.

Ok remember, download ISO to desktop, Use the USB tool.. Use RUFUS to format the disc to NTFS and then you should be good to go, remember to plug the usb into the USB 2.0 header not 3.0 the 2.0 is the black one

Ok, so I used rufus and I just put the usb into my PC and booted from it. It's currently on the Windows logo, so I will let you know how it goes. :) Fingers crossed!

EDIT: Still on the windows logo for about 3 minutes here. Normal?
EDIT 2: About 5 minutes now...
EDIT 3: Setup just started.

Yep, Windows is installing. One question though. I have an SSD and an HDD in my PC. I want to install windows on the SSD. In the Windows installer, do I have to click new and set a size or can I just go ahead with selecting the drive and clicking next? Thanks for your help everybody.

I think you can just hit next but I wouldnt. Actually, you MIGHT have to go into the desktop and go to disk management, and right click on your SSD and click New Volume. But while you here, click on your SSD, I assume its a brand new SSD. You should see partition already set I believe, delete everything on it, and hit New on Unallocated Space. Then proceed to install windows on it. If it says you Cant INstall Windows on it, and you Deleted previous partitions and Selected NEw. You have to do what I said in Disc Management, then Proceed.
