put together my first build using the Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard, turned it on, no beeps, no colored LEDS come on signifying a problem. the Q Code is A9 which the manual states as "Start of Setup." I'm not getting any display and my monitor keeps saying "No signal." any suggestions?

Solution
pull the gpu if your mb has oneboard video and see if it posts. before you do pull the gpu use the usb flashback and put the newest bios file on the mb to rule out a bios bug.

bios flashback was already completed prior to the q code staying where it is now. i will try taking out the gpu and giving it another go

i didnt tighten down the cpu cooler that much, and if it were a problem with the cpu wouldnt the q code or the onboard leds indicate a problem with the cpu? the q code went through plenty of other codes and eventually landed on A9, i cant imagine that it wouldve made it that far if there was damage to the chip. but ill look at that as well

I had the same issue, and removed gpu, which subsequently fixed the issue. Does this mean I have a faulty gpu, or do I merely need to configure in the bios? In case you didn't guess, I'm new to this.
