HI,
I have a Silverstone Strider ST85F-GS PSU and I am wondering if I have it connected correctly. The connectors on the unit are marked

Motherboard 24-Pin, EPS 8-Pin, ATX 4-Pin, IDE/SATA, PCIE 8-Pin / 6-Pin

I understand the motherboard 24-Pin but am wondering about the EPS 8-Pin or ATX 4-Pin, which one to use? I have an 8-Pin CPU socket on my Z87 GD65 so I have been using the EPS connection.
Also, I am wondering where to connect the case front panel/fan controller from my CM Storm Trooper. From what I've read, the PCIE connectors are for the GPU only, so is the IDE/SATA connectors the correct ones to use for that?
Thank you.

I was referring to the modular cables. Use the one like in the picture ( 4 pin peripheral or Molex) I linked to and connect it to one of the 4 peripheral receptacles on the PSU. It is keyed. So, you can only insert it in one of the receptacles it is intended to go it.

If there is a 4-pin Molex plug coming from the front panel, that is the fan controller feed. It connects to any like Molex from the PSU.
Your 8 pin CPU connector is fine as is using the EPS 8 pin. The 6+2 pin connectors are strictly for the gfx card and are wired differently from the CPU connector. Don't get them mixed up.

(I hope the picture shows up)
But there is no connector on the PSU like that. If there is a molex to [other] connector, what I want to know is where to connect it on the PSU.
