Ive checked the temps its not that, Ive had this set up for a while now its been great but every game I have went from 150 fps to 5-15 I dont know what to do I found out that the cpu is stuck at 799 mhz like i said but dont know how to fix it, any suggestions would be awesome thanks.
So every game I owned dropped to unplayable fps amounts today, found out i5 4590 is stuck at 799mhz x8 ratio, any ideas?

Check your power settings, in particular the processor performance setting in the advanced section of your power options. Most likely you just set it to maximum of 25%. If you can verify that that is not the issue, it might be your CPU cooler needs to be re-seated and check the fan to make sure it is running properly.

with the power off pull the gpu and reset it see if it was a seating issue. if it still stuck at 8x try the other video slot see if it still at 8x. if it is see if in the bios anyone changed the pci video bus speed. make sure still set to auto. on some mb set it from pci 3x to 1x speed. if it still stuck at 8x try another gpu se if it a gpu issue or pci bus issue of the mb.
