Hey there fellers, a friend of mine recently got himself a new CPU/MOBO and offered to sell me his
I'm wondering how I'm going to reinstall windows because of how I upgraded to W10 for free, and I'm not sure where my original W7 disc is.
I've been super nervous about what I'm going to face after installing the new hardware.

Thanks for your support in advance :)

You wouldn't need to reinstall would you? If there was a copy of windows on an HDD/SSD or other form of storage with a SATA connector or USB connector, you wouldn't need to... Please reply if I am missing something :)

I was watching a few videos and browsing some forums, I found that the drivers of the old bios would cause problems (from memory of reading) I want to be 100% sure, I guess I'll have to personally see.

The only reason it would be that way is the fact that I'm swapping out the motherboard.

Sorry for the long response time; I've been busy with academics, etc... Anyway, I've personally swapped from an Asus OEM board to a Gigabyte board with the same drive and there has been no corruption. If there was any corruption, the board and/or Windows took care of it ASAP.

My question to you is whether or not you swapped CPU type, I'm going from AMD to Intel, so I don't know if I'll have driver issues, BUT hopefully Window's sorts itself out!! Thanks!

That's a good point; I did swap from an 8300 to an 8320, but not cross-company.
