Motherboard doesn't have option to change CPU voltage - any way to hack it?

Hey forum,

So I just bought a new botherMOARd and only now I realize it won't let me overclock my CPU because it won't let me change voltage. I should have done more research before purchasing this motherboard, of course, but is there a way to somehow HACK it so that the motherboard would just somehow take more heat from the PSU?

Thanks for help!

Yeah, I doubt you're going to be able to over-clock/volt. Intel very deliberately limited overclocking abilities for all their chipsets, other than Z-series (Z68, in the case of your mobo generation). The only thing I can think of is maybe there's some hacked BIOSs out there to allow overclocking on non-Z boards, but I'm not sure if that's actually a thing, and it seems like it would be risky.

Maybe someone else who's more knowledgeable will come along and tell you for sure, but I'm going to say that can't OC with that mobo.
