Windows only boots if I open BIOS first

I put this in the OC forum because I started to experience this when I OC'd, hopefully that's ok. The problem is quite simple, when I turn my computer on after it's been off for a while, it makes it to the Windows 10 logo then it shuts down. The only way around this is for me to open the BIOS, click the "X", save & reboot (without making any changes whatsoever) then Windows boots right up, no problems, no crashes. I'm new to OC'ing so I'm afraid I did something wrong, I tried clearing the CMOS, changed the battery on the MB. Temps are great and prime95 stressed for 12 hours, no errors.

i5 3570k @ 4.6 ~30C idle
Z77A-G45 mobo
8gb ddr3 @1600

Would really appreciate your collective genius on this one, it's not a major inconvenience as it takes an extra 10 seconds to go into the BIOS then quickly save & reboot, but I'm just more concerned with possibly damaging something. Thanks

It sounds like Windows has some type of corruption. The best things to try would be to either have Windows try to fix itself, or clean install the OS. You will need the media creation tool for Windows 10 which I will post below. With this tool (I recommend installing it to USB) set your bios to boot to USB and then have the flash drive in and restart your computer. You will get the option to repair windows. You can attempt to have windows repair itself, which may or may not work. The second option you have (and its usually the best one) is to simply clean install the OS. Again boot to the USB and choose to install the OS, when prompted don't keep any of your files or programs format everything and you will have a total clean...

A clean install is the best way, but if you have any important files, pictures, ect back them up first as you will loose everything on your primary hard drive.
