Recommended aftermarket AM3 CPU cooler with clasp?

As a successful first-time builder, I'm proud to say my machine got to working without any software issues. I am using the stock cooler that comes with the Phenom II x4 965 BE.

I'm looking to overclock this badboy, but I need a proper aftermarket cooler. Looking at price to performance and popularity, I've been looking at the Hyper Evo 212. It requires me to take my motherboard out and install the metal base... But I'm way too afraid to pull everything back out now (especially with the PSU 24 pin connector being totally hard to pull out or push in without applying unecessarily tremendous amounts of force on the motherboard), and I'm sure my warranty for the mb does not cover physical damage.

Would someone please recommend a cooler for an AM3 socket that takes advantage of the stock clasp mechanism that usually comes with the motherboard rather than installing an entire new base plate?

Thanks much in advance.

Solution
If you dont pull on it you should be fine leaving it plugged in, but given the difficulty I would assume that isnt a very good PSU or motherboard you are using.
Those are just as important for overclocking as a good cooler.

Yes, I forgot to mention, the case is an Antec 300 (old version). Unfortunately, this case does not allow access to the CPU's back plate while still mounted into the case.

The antec 300 does have enough room for two fans in parallel on the front panel, but I think the pipes are short of reach. Also I'm looking for a budget air-cooled solution.

How is the Hyper EVO T4 in your opinion? Or maybe the TX3?

If you were in my shoes, would you leave the 24 pin on while installing the backplate if pulling it out meant risking severe damage to the mobo? I've already had to fit a flat head screwdriver to pull out the power pin, and I'd really prefer not doing that again.
