I have an AMD A8-7650K and now i got an R9 380X GPU so i won't be using the GPU in the A8. I am using the stock cooler for the A8 so i didn't overclock it before as it would get too hot with the GPU and CPU both running but is it a good idea to overclock the A8 and not use the integrated graphics. I guess it would help the bottlenecking from the strong GPU and weak CPU and it would be cooler because the integrated graphics are not on.

Integrated will make a slight difference, but not as much as you might hope.
Unless you can get a 50+% OC it's not going to make much difference.
