Help...Instead of shutting down my progs, Ive accidently shut down my packard Bell imedia during a bios update and bricked the pc. On start-up i have "no signal " to the monitor, the pc is running with ON light illuminated...followed by 2 short beeps, according to my bios beep code list it means "parity error in first 64kb of memory"...then, if I leave the pc on 20 minutes later i get 9 short beeps which according to my beep codes is...."ram checksum error does not match the value encoded in the Bios"..OOPPS.
I have no access to safemode start up or Bios access , Is there a route back from this or have I totalled the Mobo.
My Mobo is a DAFT3L KELIA MB 12088-1m 48.3KNOS. 01M

Thanks for that Phillip, I just read here that out of desperation....removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes, or activating the jumper may solve the problem if im lucky, I have located both on the mobo, at this stage I dont think Ive got much to lose, do you concur.

I have tried the CMOS jumper but to no avail, still the same. Also tried the battery removal but no luck so will try and source a replacement mobo, I dont want to upgrade, just something similar with a CPU already fitted as my board has a soldered CPU, any suggestions anyone. thanks for any help
