My current pc specs are

Radeon R9 280- Graphics Card
Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0- Motherboard
AMD FX-8320 Vishera 8-Core 2.5ghz- Processor
G.SKill 8gb DDR3- Ram
1tb hard drive
650 watt power supply

I currently get anywhere from 170- 230 fps in csgo and sometime even lower on some maps, down to 140-160. I want to upgrade pc so i can get more fps. Just wanted to know what i should upgrade......

Your CPU is a pretty big bottleneck, as far as minimum frames are concerned. The FX processors single core performance isn't very high. I'm around 100 FPS in CS:GO using FX 6300 and GTX 660. That's not what I'm using today, but I remember what I was getting back then. 1080 maxed except input lag settings, AA, Vsync

Your graphics card is pretty much the only thing you can upgrade since you can't really do much better than that processor on an AM3+ motherboard, unless you want to swap out processor and motherboard for Intel ones which will come pricier than just upgrading graphics card.

Your processor's speed is 2.5ghz?

I see no reason to upgrade, your getting fantastic FPS. Overclocking will gain you a little but you are limited because of the crappy power phase on that board. I wouldn't consider overclock above 4.3ghz.

Why do you feel you need more than 140fps in a old game? Anyone that plays competitively will tried to limit anything that may cause input lag... like playing above 1080p.

Since when is a 6+2 power phase crappy?
