Every night my upload is slightly over 4 mbps. Sometimes like 3.8, but still... nearish 4. 3 times a week I stream videos at 3 mbps upload speed. 1 day a week it works fabulous, 1 day a week it works meh, and the other day I can barely get passed 1 mb going up by the second despite my speedtest.net reading being 4. How is this possible and who do I talk to to fix it?
How can my upload speed be the same every night but vary in terms of performance?

It could be that when your ISP has lots of people using the internet your speed gets slowed down because they are too many people using it. Then when there are less people you get the full speed. ISP's will allow Speednet to get full speed just to keep you thinking your getting the full bandwidth (sometimes the speednet servers are on the ISP's network) so when you have to get data from servers not on your ISP's network you get lower speeds. Your ISP is about the only one that can do anything about it. Anyone else have any ideas?

I'm in freaking St. Louis and can't get better than 4 mbps, can you believe that? The best bet for people who need good upload is Verizon and they aren't out here
You may be screwed then. I have heard that using a VPN can sometimes help.
