I have 4gb OEM ram installed and is 1333mhz. Can I use 1600mhz or do I have to stick with 1333mhz?
Which frequency is better 1333mhz or 1600mhz or any other?
If it helps I may use a single 8gb ram instead of (4gb @ 1333mhz + 8gb @ 1600mhz=) 12gb?
What combination is better single 8gb at 1600mhz or 12gb at 1333 mhz?
And what does latency means, should it be same as frequency for using 2 ram?
And what about dual channel or single channel ram?
Thanks in advance for answering this many questions.

Solution

Mixing two speeds 1333 MHz and 1600 MHz, will run the whole memory system at 1333 MHz.

Since you already have a 4 GB 1333 MHz, better to stick with 1333 MHz.
Add another 8 GB 1333 MHz (Total 4, 8 = 12) instead of adding a 4 GB 1333 MHz (4, 4 = 8)
